Is this just glorified pub food, or is it genuinely a cut above?
It’s very much a cut above. The kitchen takes the dishes people know and love and prepares them with premium ingredients and a great deal of care. The Beef Wellington, for instance, is wrapped in flaky pastry with rich mushroom duxelles and a hint of truffle, it’s a showstopper. Everything is made from scratch in-house.
Where does the meat come from?
Empire sources its beef directly from Meat Boutique, the Venture Group’s own butchers. This means the team has full control over quality, with cuts ranging from 28-day dry-aged steaks and robust mature ribeyes to Porterhouse T-bones, which are available at very few places on the island.
What are the must-try dishes on the menu?
The Beef Wellington is the signature dish and consistently draws rave reviews. The steaks, whether ribeye, fillet, or sirloin, are another strong suit. Classic starters like Seared Scallops and Scotch Eggs are also worth a mention, as is the legendary Sticky toffee pudding.

Yes, the Sunday Roast at Empire has become something of a Tenerife institution during the cooler months. It’s served until May and features perfectly roasted meats, flavour-packed sides, and even a vegetarian nut roast for those who prefer a meat-free alternative.
